Education, Training & Certification: education for consumers and farmers is a priority. Informed farmers and an informed consumer will create a strong market for years to come. THGA will gather and distribute research and collaborate with public and private researchers to secure the agronomic, manufacturing, environmental, economic, market, and pharmaceutical knowledge necessary for the industry's successful development. 2. Advocacy: We work closely with leaders and politicians at all levels of the government to ensure that local farmers are well represented. As federal, state, and local governments, along with the USDA and TDA, write and revise laws and regulations, THGA wants to ensure that farmers' interests are advanced. 3. Influence: THGA was created to leverage farmer influence on the emerging industrial hemp industry. THGA is committed to maintaining a positive public image of industrial hemp, sustain strong working relationships with law enforcement agencies, share important information with our hemp growers, and promote the open flow of information within the industry. 4. Markets: We develop infrastructure to connect growers to resources & markets. We believe in and are working towards utilizing Agricultural Districts, Opportunity Zones and Texas Enterprise Zones. THGA aims to develop markets for industrial hemp and create and operate cooperative marketing organizations. 5. Profitable: The livelihood of farmers is at the forefront of all discussions regarding hemp in Texas. Where does your money go? Your support goes directly towards the Texas Hemp Grower's everyday budget. That budget includes training and education events, advocacy initiatives, and general day to day business operational costs such as website maintenance, travel for events, and office staff for their assistance in making the mission of the THGA a reality.
